Little Colds

I cleaned out the medicine cabinet today because children under the age of 6 shouldn't be taking ANY kind of cold medicine, not even the pediatric cold medicines that were supposed to be safe for toddlers (see paragraph 8 of this article buried in the NY Times). I truly hate recalls--glad they recall dangerous things, but I wish they would be safe in the first place.

Thanks for posting this. We use Tylenol when J's teething, and the doctor said we should, but I don't know anymore. No medicine, no Chinese toys. What's next?

Actually it says no antihistamines for children under 6. little colds has decongestants but no antihistamines. Its a voluntary withdrawel in response to a couple of deaths. These deaths were caused by parents who didn't read the damn label that clearly tells parents not to give the stuff to kids under 2 without consulting a doctor. These same parents gave these poor unfortunate kids a whold mixture of drugs. So once again the rest of the world suffers from the actions of a few idiots
