change of plans
I was supposed to meet a friend today, and it fell through. Very frustrating.
L got scratched by another little girl at daycare. Early last week I saw one of the instructors pull a child by the arm out of anger. It's been haunting me ever since. I can't wait to move L somewhere else.

Have you addressed your concerns with the daycare's management? When mine were in daycare, I mentioned a similar incident (the instructor's arm-pulling), and the owner of the day care confronted, and ultimately fired the woman. She had a zero tolerance policy for anything like that. If I were you, I'd talk to the owner/manager and gauge the reaction.
As far as the scratch--those things happen. They will continue to happen. My pediatrician once said "I love to see scabs on knees...it means they're active."
Maybe some day I'll tell you about "F" stapling his t-shirt to his nipple.
Actually, there really isn't that much more to say about it. He stapled his t-shirt to his nipple.

Yaah! That sounds painful.
Yes, I brought it up with the manager immediately after I saw it. She took it very seriously and went to discuss the matter with the supervisor. I can only hope that it raised everyone's level of concern and it won't happen again.
