Except I just a got a phone call; maybe there will be room for 900 words rather than 500, or perhaps two small pieces. Good news and more work, either way.

This sounds really neat---I'd love to know what you are writing about!
The last 10 words are the worst. (its like parachute jumping)
the important thing is to forget any personal integrity or literary aspirations and think of the money...
jelouse? me? hell yes....
It's a profile piece, memoir style. Fun to write but hard to get right.
I think the 80/20 rule applies to writing as it does to software enginieering, right?
