oh my. be careful. how far away is that?
This is about a half-mile away but luckily on the other side of the highway. The firefighters kept it pretty well controlled and managed to save all but 2 structures--I don't believe any houses burned. Last I heard on Sunday only 50% was contained. The smoke no longer trails across our house, which is a very good thing.
Fully contained. 4 houses burned.
I saw the same thing as a kid in 68 when what was then groves and grass land went up in flame in the Anaheim Hills/Santa Ana Hills area. It is intimidating to watch.
What is it about the Santa Ana winds that brings out the whackos with matches?
