Driving home tonight with hungry kids, the other half still putting in a late night at work, we took a detour into a neighborhood decked in Christmas regalia. For a moment, everyone in the car was quiet, caught in the awe of red twinkling candy canes and trees spiralled in color. L said the word "reindeer."

Great picture, both looking beautiful!
When we lived in Atlanta, that was a special treat for the kids. They would put their winter coats on over their jammies, and we would go for a ride in the car, looking at the Christmas lights. I think half of the excitement was riding around after dark in jammies!
reindeer is a great word.
One of my distant cousins who is slightly dyslexic sung 'Oh lord thou art the greatest reindeer' (should be great redeemer)at grannies funeral. Ever since its a word that makes me laugh.
so does 'sausage', but for very different reasons.
