count to four

I'm glad L can't count higher than four right now, because I don't want her to count on thirty-two presents again next year. What a lovely, spoiled child she is. Her favorite gifts: a Dora the Explorer tea set (thanks Grandma!), new Velcro shoes (thanks Santa!) and a trike (thanks Grandpa!). We haven't even touched the fingerpaints yet in all the excitement.

J, on the other hand, is quite content with twinkling lights.

what a great time of year it is for the little ones!

and you may just want to surreptitiously grab a few of those presents and save them for their birthdays--they'll never know, and you save some dough that way (especially the clothes from the distant relatives that are still to big for them).

merry christmas, my dear!

This year my J just got a lot of boks and one or two presents, but it was fun. He loved looking at the lights on the tree. I was really surprised at how easily he let family members hold him - he got passed around a lot. Glad you guys had fun! I hope you're feeling better.

It's hard not to spoil them isn't it? You set the tone early -- it's harder to cut back on the gifts once they've seen the big piles.

I enjoyed getting a lot of presents when I was a kid. This year we had so many for Anou that I will probably get two christmas trees next year to fit them all under.
