direct deposit to God

It makes sense, but there's something a little odd about the idea of paying a tithe through an automatic withdrawal from your checking account.

Holy shit.

Are the catholics using tithing now also? (That is a picture of St. Peters Basilica, right?) Growing up, we put envelopes in the collection basket during mass.

When we lived in Atlanta, tithing could be done by payroll deduction. No need for that money to ever reach the bank! But I didn't think the Catholic church did it.

I'm not Catholic, but Lutheran churches just don't have the same impact as St. Peter's Basilica.

sheessh.....our church has a black hole when it comes to money.

Our parish (the OH is catholic) is sending around second and third collections plus calling us at least once a month looking for money.
