fire

This might explain why I've been absent lately. I live--past tense, lived--in that building.

And yes, thankfully, we are all ok.

Ok--this is a rewrite of the deleted post. I just saw an egregious spelling error in it, and I couldn't let it sit.

Here is the original copy, more throroughy spell-checked this time:

My first thought is "thank God you and your family are all right"

My second thought is "thank God everyone else in that building is all right as well"

My third thought is "who taught that reporter to write?"

The cause of the fire, which began in a second-floor apartment, is being investigated, he said. The previous fire, which occurred eight months ago, ignited after residents hosting a party left cigarettes in a plastic container, Marshburn said.

The residents of the apartment where the fire ignited were away on vacation.

Thank you all.

BP-- Agreed.

PC--I'm working at a year-round school, so everything school-wise is up and running. Luckily, even the student papers I took home to grade were ok. Thanks for offering.

Bummer. Still, each time fate tries to kill you & misses it adds another 10 years to your life expectancy.
Glad your all OK, assume you were insured, hope you didn't lose anything that can't be replaced.
