Although there are reality tv shows about filmmakers, fashion designers, chefs, rockstars, nannies, and even boxers, I doubt you'll ever see a show featuring computer programmers.

For a class in college, I wrote a treatment for a game show called "You Can't Win!" and suggested that even though the rules stated that no one could win, it would still get contestans simply because it was on TV. The professor said it was a "ludicrous idea." I don't know why, but your post made me think of that.
