My electric bill was a full digit more than I expected. Unfortunately, that extra digit wasn't a 1. Maybe I can teach L how to wave one of those huge fans around.

We used to have bills like that in Atlanta. I feel your pain. We don't have a/c in NH so we pay for it more in the winter, especially with heating oil prices going up!
I'm with you on that! My recent electric bill went up a hundred dollars! Geez! But I gotsta have my air conditioning!

I saw Al Gore's movie the other night. It was the worst, best thing I ever did. Something tells me your recent power bill is just another in an increasing number of signs that we're on a precipice. And I'm normally an optimist . . .
I think you can get giant hampster wheels for children that hook up to a generator.
That must be one of the worse things bout living in CA. Our bill hasn't been that bad. I wonder if it's because of where we live.
