epic play day

Miserable weather outside, so we holed up this weekend and played the entire Lord of the Rings set while cleaning, making stew, playing with the little one, and just lying on the couch with nothing better to do. I forgot how much fun those movies are.

I grow a little sad each yesr around Christmas knowing that there are no more LOR films nor even any new extended edition DVDs to come out. Oh well, here's hoping for The Hobbit one day.

Not to worry, it looks like they're going to follow Harry Potter around until his great-grandchildren die in "Harry Potter: Legacy of the Moneymaker."

*L* Col Dr

LOTR is one of the few books that I haved picked up and reread cover to cover over the last 35 years. I still enjoy it now as much as I did then. I am not sure I can say that about any other fiction I have read

two and a half great films. Ruined by two over camp hobbits (weren't you screaming 'Just die you little *******'s' from about half way up mount doom)and 17 unneccecary endings. Even when the ship sailed of into the sunset it still wasn't the ******** end!
